ASPIRE International Youth Music Festival is extremely excited to announce today that Dr John Lynch, world respected wind conductor, has accepted the offer to adjudicate the Concert Band section for the 2017 festival.
Lauded as ‘the phenomenal American wind conductor of international repute’ John Lynch has led some of the most renowned university band programs in the U.S. Having made headlines in 2014, by becoming the first person in Australian history to take up a full time appointment at tertiary music school level, his name is synonymous with the emergence of a wind band movement for Australia. After a world-wide search, Dr John Lynch was appointed Associate Professor of Music and Artistic Director and Conductor of Sydney Conservatorium of Music’s Wind Symphony in 2013 where he currently works.
Dr Lynch will join forces with world renowned Brisbane based conductor, Dr Peter Morris to adjudicate the concert band section. The festival adjudicator team is now complete and
